Pizza with AlterBacon and crunchy vegetables
1 pizza base, 250 g of Mozzarella cheese, ½ courgette, 6 small radishes, 6 -10 slices of broccoli or cauliflower, some basil leaves, 15-20 pine nuts, Genoese pesto (with walnuts and dried tomato).
Step by step:
Pre-heat the oven, distribute the mozzarella over the pizza base and bake it for 15 min. at 240ºC. Meanwhile, finely slice the radish. Slice the courgette, cut the AlterBacon into pieces and fry it with oil. You can vary the amount of oil depending on how crispy you want the AlterBacon to be. When the cheese has toasted a little, take the pizza out of the oven and cover it with the vegetable slices. Distribute the pieces of cauliflower, pine nuts and strips of AlterBacon over the top. Bake the pizza for another 5 minutes. Remove it from the oven. Drizzle some oil over it, sprinkle on herbs to taste and it’s ready to serve.
Beech-smoked, with the texture and flavour of animal bacon but very healthy nutrition values. Made from soya, cereals, egg and olive oil.
