Continental toastie: AlterBacon with scrambled egg
One of the most characteristic elements of British culture is a cooked breakfast, which always includes bacon and egg. For AlterVego’s version of this traditional recipe, all you need are some AlterBacon, two eggs, a little salt, pepper, butter and some rocket leaves.
Step by step:
Break two eggs into a bowl and beat them, adding a spoonful of milk and a little salt and pepper. Heat a little butter in a pan and, when it is hot, pour in the eggs. Allow them to cook a little and when they are about to solidify stir them until they are cooked, with a soft, moist texture. Add some rocket leaves, green shoots or any other vegetable and arrange them on the slice of toast. Top it off with some strips of AlterBacon, cooked with oil to taste. The more oil you put in the pan, the crispier it will be.
Beech-smoked, with the texture and flavour of animal bacon but very healthy nutrition values. Made from soya, cereals, egg and olive oil.
